Elizabeth M. Marcello (she/her)
I am a Doctoral Lecturer at the Roosevelt House Public Policy Institute at Hunter College - CUNY, with an appointment in Hunter’s Department of Urban Policy and Planning. I am also a Policy Fellow at the New York State watchdog group Reinvent Albany.
I am interested in public authorities, especially their role in city-state relations, regional governance, and urban economic development.
Prior to joining Hunter in a full-time capacity, I worked as a senior research analyst at Reinvent Albany where I advocated and lobbied for anti-corruption legislation, greater transparency of state economic development spending, and more accountable public authorities.
I have a Ph.D. in urban planning from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, a Master of International Affairs (urban policy) from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, and a Bachelor of Arts (environmental studies) from the University of California Santa Cruz
